The Cathedral

A quiet place.

Wind walked into the cathedral, she heard wind chimes and feint birds in the background. Everything was perfect. She sat in a pew and opened up a book about diseases that occur in the blood stream. She sat reading, oblivious to the outer world.

The twins wanted to kick down the cathedral doors and just walk in, but they decided against it, they didn't want enemies so soon. Instead, the boys walked in normally and looked around. The high painted glass windows were on every wall, and there was a statue in the middle of the room. They soon noticed their friend and sat beside her. "Heyoo!" They whispered loudly into her ear.

Wind jumped, she hadn't been expecting someone to talk. She quickly regained her cool and stared at the twins. "Are you two stalking me?" She asked, even though she had known them for a while now, she still couldn't tell them a part. They were so identical it was almost frightening.

The twins didn't notice Wind jump and they chuckled when she asked if they were stalking her," No,"they answered her question.

Wind gave a sigh of relief, but she wouldn't mind so much if they actually were stalking her. They are her friends.

"Whatcha readin'?" July asked as March snatched the book from her hands. They grinned at her and read the title,"All About Disease," July read aloud. "BORING!" March replied tossing the book back into Wind's lap.

"It's not boring, it's actually a very interesting read. " Wind went on, she smiled at the inside joke she heard about bone marrow.

"Wow..."The twins said sarcastically.

Wind stopped and gave July, who was really March, a light punch in the arm. "July.." She said to March," You're mean." Wind was mixed up and didn't even know it.

The twins laughed at Wind's mix ups, but they were soon shushed. They had to stay quiet in the cathedral, or else.

Wind grinned when someone shushed them, but soon she erupted into giggles she buried her face into her hands, to muffle the sound.

July and March lifted her head to see Wind giggle uncontrollably. "What's so funny?" they asked. The twins were shushed all the time, it was practically normal.

Wind blushed to feel their hands on her face, they were warm. She suddenly stoped and tried to maintain a straight face, but she cracked a smile and dropped her head into her hands again.

The twins felt her face, it was soft, and Wind smelled like cinnamon. They quickly drew their hands away, and just waited for Wind's giggling to subside.

Finally Wind stopped giggling and looked up, her cheeks pink, and the edges of her mouth slightly pulled back.

"Why were you laughing so hard?'' July asked as March reclined in his seat.

"I don't know," Wind said," I guess it was just really funny, or maybe it reminded me of something else," Wind said, as if she herself was uncertain.

"Whatever," both of the twins said, they leaned back and stared with glazed expressions. They remained quiet.

Wind smiled and picked up her book, she continued reading.
